Hike where 4,000-foot mountains meet the Pacific Ocean. Northern California’s astounding Lost Coast Trail offers a rare coastal wilderness backpacking adventure along the most remote Western coastline in the Lower 48. The beautiful trail traverses King Range National Conservation Area and Sinkyone Wilderness State Park.

Our route explores the best sections of the unique Lost Coast Trail. We will cover the entire Northern section of the trail as well as the prettiest portions of the Southern section — we are one of the only companies to include any part of the outstanding Southern section.

You will experience the rugged coastal landscape, with innumerable sea stacks, remote coves, sweeping ocean and mountain vistas, and heart-stopping displays of wildflowers.  You'll feel as if you are thousands of miles from civilization, as you camp and travel in wilderness “Impassable Zones,” requiring tide charts for safe navigation. Witness Roosevelt Elk, sea lions and harbor seals sunning themselves on the beach, and maybe even migrating whales, playful sea otters, or a bear.

LEVEL 4 TRIP: Participants should be in good physical condition, and able to hike up to 8 miles over uneven terrain, carrying 30lbs.

Registration closes 30-days prior to trip start.

Our goal is to provide an unforgettable wilderness experience. This trip will challenge you, but we will provide the support, education, and logistical know-how to help you leap-frog the hard lessons. And we guarantee you’ll have a lot of fun!
